Alexis Brinkmeyer worked as a law clerk with the firm for the summer of 2023 and through her third year of law school. Alexis joined Brockwell Smith as an associate in August 2024.
Alexis is a first-generation attorney. In April 2024, Alexis graduated from Samford University Cumberland School of Law. While at Cumberland, Alexis received the Scholar of Merit for her Business of Law class. During her second and third-year Alexis served on the Career Development Advisory Board, which assists first-year law students with navigating the legal field in search of summer clerkships and job opportunities. Alexis also served on the executive board for the Student Health Lawyers Association and was involved in the Alabama Student Bar Association and Women in Law student organizations.
Prior to law school, Alexis graduated from the University of Alabama, in May of 2021. While at the University of Alabama, Alexis had the pleasure of working with the Alabama football team in the recruiting office and with a local physician’s practice.
Alexis’s desire to become an attorney is driven by her pursuit to make a meaningful difference in each of her client’s lives. She focuses on achieving this pursuit through effective communication, respect, and advocacy.
When Alexis is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her chocolate lab, cheering for the University of Alabama sports teams, watching her favorite hockey team (the St. Louis Blues), and traveling to new places.
